You Take the Good with the Bad

We like the new floor install in the garage, but it didn't come without a bit of a dark — or in this case, dusty — side.

We hired out the job specifically because we didn't want to get involved with a lot of the "dirty work" so to speak… and we certainly paid for it: at $4.50 a foot (installed) for tile that costs 75c a foot (material).

When we came home, we were amazed by the transformation (read: happy), but when we looked closer, it was quite apparent that we still had a lot of work to do cleaning up after the install.

Both the light and the vacuum (ironic) were wiped hospital-clean the day previous (after I finished the drywall). There's still dust in the nooks and crannies. Ideally, we'd have taped off/over over the shelving.

In the end, we're happy… however, I am a bit bummed that we paid so much and still had to do a lot of the final clean-up.
