Wanna Buy a Birdhouse?

We've taken the initial prototypes of the ModApple + Redneckmodern Case-Study birdhouse to market. Check them out on Casie's Etsy site.

Get 'em while they're hot (and it's while still spring and birdies are nesting).

  • #29A: This house is rough-hewn with a slightly longer roof overhang (approx 2in). The color is more blonde than the others, but will weather to a silvery color that cedar is famous for. A square-bit stainless screw is located on the front — removing this will allow the hinged bottom to swing out for easy cleaning.
  • #29B: The texture and color on this model are quite nice — more of a caramel color than your typical blonde cedar with a smoother, but non-sanded texture. The roof overhangs the body of the house approx. 1in. A square-bit stainless screw is located on the front — removing this will allow the hinged bottom to swing out for easy cleaning.
  • #29C: This model is sanded smooth to reveal the delicate grain of the cedar. The roof overhangs the body of the house approx. 1in. A square-bit stainless screw is located on the back — removing this will allow the hinged bottom to swing out for easy cleaning.
  • #29D: The roof is flush with the body of this model which is crafted from a horizontal-grain rough-hewn cedar. A phillips-head coated screw is located on the back — removing this will allow the hinged bottom to swing out for easy cleaning.

  1. One comment here as I’ve built a few birdhouses – lose the perch. The birds don’t need it and it allows a place for predators to hange while robbing the nest…
