Looking back, this was really one of the first NorCalMod projects — a piece of design-build furniture for a house other than our own.

This weekend and last, we helped a friend and neighbor, Laura, to build a zebrawood desk. It turned out well, no?

Hi: Thanks for stopping by.
NorCalMod is a design/build/how-to initiative … and the parent of RedneckModern.com. When we started RedneckModern in 2007, we also started NorCalMod… but the singular project took over and website served as a place to fill in our friends on how the renovation of our Eichler-built house was progressing.
However, it has grown past that and now, with the offering of custom-built furniture and design services, we wanted to separate the two — my house… from your house. We will soon structure it even more holistically with NorCalMod being the "umbrella"… hold tight for those changes.
There will naturally be some overlap and feel free to bookmark, like and otherwise follow the goings-on at Redneckmodern.com, but if you have something in mind for your house, this is the place to be.
