Claire made all of the right (and brave) decisions… and helped to create a few new categories. What started as a simple record/turntable storage unit turned into the +MOV, +XL, +HD, and +MIN …

+MOV // Casters… it's a simple addition, but we wanted to find just the right ones. When Claire mentioned casters, I had thought of the typical industrial ones, but we both had hoped for something cooler… then I found ones made by the same company since the 60s (and they seem to be the only people who have — and do — make them… the downside is that because of this, they're quite expensive). Regardless, they're dead-sexy and work wonderfully… and swap out 100% with our existing feet should she have a change of heart one day.
+XL // She wanted something a bit longer. No problem — everything is a bit custom… but with heavy albums, a bit of support will be needed, so…
+HD // With the extra length came extra support. We fashioned a support that joins the shelves (top to bottom) but doesn't hit the floor which helps to add a bit of stability… not as much as a full leg, but a bit.
+MIN // I've been working with adhesives for a while and this is something I can only do with shop assembled pieces (i.e.: local delivery), but instead of bolts holding the side panels in place, I used an industrial adhesive used to adhere architectural panels. This helps to de-clutter the side of the unit (MIN = minimal) for a slimmer stance.
