This was a very wise choice, methinks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18261.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18261\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18261.jpg\" title=\"Snc18261\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <br \/>I wanted the filler pieces to be flush with the doors which meant two things: (1) the pieces had to be 3\/4in thick which mean we used the sides of a lot of 30in doors and (2) I had to create something to mount these pieces to. The green tape is s&#039;posed to be some miracle painter&#039;s tape &#8212; we&#039;ll see&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18258.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18258\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18258.jpg\" title=\"Snc18258\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18260.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18260\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18260.jpg\" title=\"Snc18260\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <br \/>We love the built-in look of the fridge&#8230; again, some planning went into this set-up&#8230; and a skillful dialing-in of the leg-height.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18265.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18265\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18265.jpg\" title=\"Snc18265\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <br \/>I installed a switch-controlled outlet behind\/within the filler space (as opposed to hard-wiring the light) in the case&#160; we want to change-out the under counter lights.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18266.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18266\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18266.jpg\" title=\"Snc18266\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18270.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18270\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18270.jpg\" title=\"Snc18270\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <br \/>Some overview shots&#8230; To get the &quot;island&quot;, we backed up 12in (deep) cabinets to 24in (deep) cabinets which creates a nice-sized island plus tons of storage space.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18276.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18276\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18276.jpg\" title=\"Snc18276\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18280.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18280\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18280.jpg\" title=\"Snc18280\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/.shared\/image.html?\/photos\/uncategorized\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18279.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Snc18279\" border=\"0\" height=\"100\" src=\"https:\/\/redneckmodern.typepad.com\/redneckmodern\/images\/2008\/08\/22\/snc18279.jpg\" title=\"Snc18279\" width=\"100\" \/><\/a> <br \/>And speaking of storage&#8230; I love the visual ironies that exist in our current existence: (1) Johnathan Adler, meet Rory Gilmore (and Rocky the Squirrel).
