I stopped him. He got a bit upset, and I told him the chair was unsafe and that he shouldn&#039;t stand on that. I reached quickly for one of the wire-based stool-tables I&#039;d made, and he said, &quot;Dada, you can&#039;t stand on a table&quot;&#8230; &quot;Ok, fine: I&#039;ll make something else&#8230;&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The next day, I made the prototype of the Lambda stool in the workshop (pictured here). He&#039;s quite happy, and it works well for him, but I already see some improvements for his particular set-up (desk-height step, congruous materials, etc.).<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Stool_01\" border=\"0\" class=\"asset  asset-image at-xid-6a00d8345166b769e201bb09b1b975970d image-full img-responsive\" src=\"\/norcalmod\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2025\/09\/6a00d8345166b769e201bb09b1b975970d-800wi.jpg\" title=\"Stool_01\" \/><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nThis version is made of maple multi-ply and mahogany with a satin lacquer and wax finish. It is glued and screwed for strength. It is 12in wide total (10in wide steps) and each step is at the 10in mark (0, 10, 20, 30).
